Industry 4.0, Internet of Things, Big data and Cloud – these are the essential topics at CeBIT 2016. As in previous years, CeBIT presents itself as a B2B tradeshow focusing on trade visitors. The key motto being “d!conomy: join – create – succeed”, digitization of the economy is the primary topic. Specialist in document-intensive workflows and automating business processes, EASY SOFTWARE AG is an active player instead of mere onlooker.
EASY in the “heavyweight round”
Again this year EASY SOFTWARE is actively contributing its professional knowledge and decade-long market expertise to CeBIT. For instance, EASY CEO Willy Cremers took part in the so-called Bitkom “heavyweight round” in Hall 3 on Tuesday. Under the heading of “The future of ECM”, representatives of leading software companies discussed current topics and digitization trends, with a special focus on the topics of “Cloud” and “Tablets”. Willy Cremers emphasized that the cloud represents THE engine for growth for EASY as a software manufacturer and that EASY is specifically investing in the topic of “genuine cloud” (vs. hosting). It is actually about changes in software development by focusing on a cloud platform and creating mobile solutions, such as reference files. In this way, cloud ECM solutions and services would become economically useful also for currently unreachable target customers.
Coping with digital transformation
It’s also clear that customers in turn are increasingly demanding solutions that quickly help them to cope with the requirements of digital transformation. The cloud provides tremendous potential for this. EASY will make the corresponding cloud services available to the market via business partners, strategic partners, but also via its EASY Spirit project and EASY Discovery. Willy Cremers mentioned the topic of mobility as another essential trend of the future.
Digitization and legislation
In the afternoon, EASY’s legal specialist Rainer Berndt introduced the legal basis of digitization. He spoke on the topic of “New (legal) developments of enterprise content management”, discussing legally compliant mastering of “floods of information” in enterprises and their business processes. The starting point was a glimpse into the future of ECM solutions as they might appear in ten or twenty years from now. This was about challenges such new “disruptive” business models will pose to the legal framework of the future.
Effective information management
After that, Mr. Berndt explained the advantages of EASY Discovery within the context of effective information management, introducing his ideas on a semi-automated file for “procedural documentation” pursuant to GoBD. Finally, he showed the audience the capabilities of certifying archive and DMS software as well as their use in enterprises according to IDW PS 880 and PK-DML standards.
More expertise on the cloud and HR
This Thursday, Andrea Schmigalla and Fred Klukas of EASY will share their knowledge and experience with regard to the topics “ECM in the cloud” or “The modern personnel department” with an interested audience. Ms. Schmigalla was convinced that the benefits of the cloud for departments as essential users of such a software will continue to have a positive influence per cloud on decisions in enterprises. Mr. Klukas presented in a dedicated manner which requirements and processes distinguish timely HR management, and why a solution like EASY HR provides all the matching features for this.
