The Hochschule Ruhr West (University of Applied Sciences Ruhr West) staged the HRW Career Fair on its Mülheimer Campus for the fourth time recently. The fair is an opportunity for interested students and graduates to make contact with companies and firms. EASY SOFTWARE AG took part – with our corporate headquarters being located in Mühlheim, the fair was kind of a “home game” for us. EASY informed students about what it’s like to work for the company and the kinds of fields available at EASY both during their studies and after graduation.
Students showed the greatest interest in future-focused topics such as work-study programs or study abroad semesters working with international EASY subsidiaries. But products and services offered by EASY SOFTWARE AG were also well received by the workforce of tomorrow. “It was fun to give advice to the young people and talk with them,” Alexandra Horst from the EASY HR department stated to sum up the event. She was on site alongside Hans-Joachim Gartz, one of our many project developers at EASY.
Fourth edition breaks exhibitor record
A total of 53 companies, professional associations, and institutions were on hand at the HRW Career Fair on the Mülheim campus to provide information on career opportunities and hold discussions with qualified young professionals. This was such a large number of participants that the career fair set a new exhibitor record. Presenters offered insight into a large number of interesting fields and into topics related to job applications, interviews, and salary negotiations in a total of 14 professional talks. Besides these diverse speeches, a free photo shoot and an application document check-up helped round off the successful afternoon event. Also, for the first time the fair included the “HRW Starters” idea contest, during which students and staff could submit business, product, or service ideas.
